AT&T Launches Mobile Backup Application

Filed in archive Mobile Technologies by leo on August 17, 2007

In response to frustration of many mobile users about losing, replacing, or damaging their cell phones, AT&T has launched AT&T Mobile Backup to automatically back up the contact information in your phone's address book by sending the contact information to a secure server over the wireless network.

However, not all phones are supported and limited only to Motorola KRZR, SLVR L7, RAZR V3r, V3xx, and V365. Users can either back up automatically once a week or manually.

While this is a great service, it is not unique at all. There are other more powerful sites like Zyb which allows users to save not only contacts but also calendar, pictures, and text messages.
