Admob, the mobile advertising network has stepped out of the shadows and made a public announcement about the service. According to the press release posted a couple of days ago on Yahoo News (via business wire), AdMob are currently claiming more than 250,000,000 mobile page views per month. The site and service has grown dramatically over the past few months, and it's a service I use on my own WAP sites.
"Prior to AdMob, the only real business models in mobile were based upon subscription, hampering the adoption of a number of services which may have grown explosively if monetized via advertising. AdMob was founded with the goal of revolutionizing mobile through advertising. By enabling advertisers and publishers both small and large to use advertising as a viable business tool, we're well on the way to achieving that goal," states [CEO and Founder Omar] Hamoui.
In celebration of reaching this figure, the company is offering a free US$20 mobile Advertising campaign to any new member.
