3G USB Modem

3G USB Modem

Coming to us via the always interesting SMS Text news is word that T-Mobile have launched a 3G USB modem for use with laptops. You can pick one up for £30 if you also take out a 12 month Web'n'Walk contract.

It's made by Huawai, who also do the same device for Vodafone. Interestingly enough they're offering it for free, with a £45/month 'unlimited' (which is really 1Gb according to the small print) included, or £95/month if you want to add on 100Mb of data on 'preferred' international networks.

Of course, if you have a 3G handset you can use that as a modem at 3G speeds as well, via connector cable or Bluetooth. There's nothing like 384Kbps connectivity whilst speeding down the motorway!
