UK 3G operator 3 has announced it is launching an ad-funded mobile video service.
Via Moconews.
3 is working in partnership with rhythm New Media, which is supporting the service with "personalized advertising from major brands," the companies said in a statement.
The service is due to launch in April, and will feature Microsoft as an advertiser. It will be interesting to see how this model pans out.

I wonder what their model is going to be. There is an interesting article here http://www.telco2.net/blog/2007/03/afs_vs_enabling.html on the business model opportunities the operator has.

Oh, no. I hope there won’t be ad-based online video services on big PCs
